Impact of Covid-19 on our day to day business operations

We will be avoiding face-to-face meetings where possible and replacing those with online calls. In addition, we have postponed social events for the foreseeable future but we will continue to provide support through our website, so that our clients and contacts continue to receive regular important legal and industry updates.

In addition we are employing in-office enhanced cleaning, and are complying with all social distancing requirements. We fully cater for clients who prefer not to travel and want to communicate remotely using online tools such as Zoom.

Impact of Coronavirus on the New York court systems

Court systems are needing to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic with new guidelines, restrictions and changes to how proceedings will be managed.

Many online Court filings have been able to continue, and virtual court appearances are being conducted by many court reporting services, so cases are still moving forward.

Please read the following advice on Limited Filings at the New York State Courts:

Effective July 6, all visitors to UCS courthouses and other facilities will be required to submit to temperature screening and questioning before being granted entrance. This includes parties, attorneys, witnesses, spectators, law enforcement officers, prisoners, vendors, and all other non-court system personnel. Visitors with a temperature of 100.0º F. or higher will not be permitted to enter the courthouse.

All court visitors are required to wear a mask. In accordance with the Governor’s Executive Order, individuals who have traveled to states listed on the Quarantine List are required to self-quarantine for a period of 14 days and shall not be permitted to enter a courthouse or other court facility during that period.
